When you schedule a visit, you’ll receive a text or email with a link to our new patient form. Please fill it out before you arrive. This helps ensure an easy check-in experience, with minimal paperwork changing hands. We’ll also tell you exactly what you’ll owe, so there aren’t any surprises.
Health check on arrival
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a team member in a mask who will take your temperature with a contactless thermometer. If you show signs of a fever, we’ll ask you to reschedule. We’ll also ask you to fill out a brief form indicating whether you’ve had any symptoms of illness, or if you’ve been around anyone sick.
Everyone entering and exiting Care Family Dentistry is required to wear a cloth face covering or facemask. If you forgot to bring your own, we’ll provide you with one. If you are asked to remain in the reception area for any period of time, please practice social distancing.
Take a tour
After being screened, you’ll be taken to your individual treatment suite as soon as possible. On the way back, we’ll give you a quick tour of our comfortable, state-of-the-art facility, which was built in 2020.
Suite for you
Rest easy knowing that your treatment suite has been sanitized with medical-grade disinfectant, and that all equipment is single-use or medically sterilized, a process that kills 100% of germs, including viruses. You will be asked to take a mouth rinse, which reduces harmful oral microorganisms that may spread during dental procedures.
For your comfort
One of the ways we make your visit extra special is by providing you with complimentary items from our Comfort Menu. These items include headphones, iPod, TV and remote, lip balm, blanket, neck rest, mouth prop, warm lemon or lavender cloth, and treatment chairs that massage and/or heat. Just let us know what you need to relax! We’ll also give you a welcome gift as a small token of our appreciation.
Wearing gloves, a mask and eyewear is standard practice for dentists, hygienists and dental assistants. Our clinical team members wear this personal protective equipment at all times and also perform regular hand hygiene.
Fast, comfortable and safe imaging
Our state-of-the-art, handheld X-ray camera turns X-rays into a quick process done from the comfort of your treatment chair. It uses minimal radiation.
After imaging, your hygienist will give you a thorough, yet gentle cleaning. If you have anxiety about any dental procedure, don’t hesitate to request nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, to help manage your worry. Read more about it here.
A beautifying polish
When your cleaning is finished, your hygienist will polish your teeth to remove any cosmetic staining. You’ll get to choose between mint polishing paste or fun flavors like watermelon and berry. You may also choose to have an optional fluoride treatment with flavors like vanilla mint, caramel sundae and grape bubblegum!
Your dentist will examine your mouth and talk with you about your oral health with zero judgment. As part of your exam, you’ll get a complementary oral cancer screening, as well as a head and neck evaluation. Dentists are trained to identify early symptoms of many diseases before they become more serious.
Only the care you need
If your dentist recommends additional care, they’ll show you exactly why and then answer all of your questions. It is our priority to educate patients to the fullest, so you can make the best decisions for your health. Some procedures may be available for same-day treatment, or you can schedule a time to come back when it’s most convenient for you.
That’s it. Your checkup is finished. At the conclusion of your appointment, you’ll receive a complimentary toothbrush, paste and floss before being taken to a separate checkout station. We’ll see you in six months!
Yes, really! We offer our patients fresh baked cookies straight from our oven at the end of every appointment. What better way to end your visit with a smile?
